Popular Technological Tools

Technology continues to evolve without pause, and almost every day, a new technological product is introduced. Many new technological products were launched in the last quarter of 2023 and the first quarter of 2024. Alongside the launches from companies like Meta, Apple, and Samsung, numerous new technological products were also introduced at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), one of the world’s largest technology fairs held between January 7 and 12. The products introduced were mostly centered around artificial intelligence and mixed reality. We wanted to compile a list of the most popular products among technology enthusiasts among those introduced. Let’s talk a bit about the new products. Here are the most popular technological products from the last quarter of the past year and the first quarter of 2024:

Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses

In the last quarter of the past year, Meta collaborated with the famous eyewear brand Ray-Ban to introduce its new smart glasses, Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses.

Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses

Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses allow users to livestream on Facebook and Instagram directly from the glasses, capture photos with a 12 MP wide-angle camera, and record videos in vertical format at 1080p for 60 seconds. The glasses, featuring built-in microphones and speakers, offer the ability to make phone calls and listen to music. Meta AI, Meta’s artificial intelligence assistant, is powered by the next-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon architecture. Despite all these features, Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses offer up to 36 hours of battery life with their case. Available in two different designs, Ray-Ban’s famous Wayfarer model and Headliner, the Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses start at a price tag of $299.

Rabbit R1

At this year’s CES, artificial intelligence was among the leading technologies on the list. Among the AI-powered products, the most notable was the young startup Rabbit’s AI assistant device, R1, which the company refers to as an assistant device rather than a phone, even though it has a SIM card slot.

Rabbit R1

Unlike a classic phone design, the Rabbit R1 features a square shape, a rectangular screen, and three different hardware elements: an 8MP 360-degree rotating motion camera, a scroll wheel, and an assistant activation button. The company decided to launch this device to escape from the hundreds of interfaces that require numerous touches for the smallest tasks on smartphones and solve all tasks with artificial intelligence. Rabbit R1 uses the rabbitOS operating system based on the Large Action Model (LAM) developed by the company, as opposed to the Large Language Models (LLM) we are familiar with from AI-supported chatbots. With this operating system, R1 can perform many tasks, from calling an Uber to playing music, making phone calls, and preparing recipes with the food in the fridge, all with just a few word commands. Moreover, all these commands are completely natural and indistinguishable from everyday conversational language, unlike those we are used to from current voice assistants. Introduced with 4GB of memory and 128GB of internal storage, the Rabbit R1 was available for pre-order at $199 starting on January 9.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Series

Samsung S24 Series

Samsung introduced its new flagship series, the S24 family, on January 17 at the Galaxy Unpacked event. Like every year, Samsung introduced the most important flagship phones of the year on the Android side to the world with both different and ambitious hardware and software features. However, this year, both Samsung and the event attendees focused not on the hardware features of the S24 series but on the artificial intelligence features that Samsung highlighted in the event’s promotion. Samsung’s Galaxy AI features simplify complex solutions to everyday problems for users and provide a completely different user experience. Galaxy AI includes many features, such as Live Translate, Chat Assistant, Note Assistant, Voice Recording Assistant, and Circle to Search. With the Live Translate application, users can make phone calls in a different language with AI support, rewrite a message in a formal tone with Chat Assistant, convert voice recordings to text with Voice Recording Assistant, and search for any object in a photo on the internet by circling it with Circle to Search. Besides, Galaxy AI can animate subjects in photos and perform automatic adjustment and blurring operations for photos. The Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra, along with advanced hardware features, come with screens ranging in size from 6.2, 6.7, and 6.8 inches with an adaptable refresh rate of 1-120 Hz. While the Snapdragon® 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform for Galaxy chipset powers all members of the Galaxy S24 family in South Korea, America, and China, Samsung’s Exynos 2400 chipset will power the Galaxy S24 and S24+ models in other countries. The new Galaxy family members, the Samsung Galaxy S24, start at 39.999TL, the Galaxy S24+ at 46.499TL, and the Galaxy S24 Ultra at 69.999TL.

Apple Vision Pro

Apple Vision Pro

Finally, in our list, we’ll delve into Apple Vision Pro, the latest addition to the favorite in the tech world, Apple’s product range. Apple introduced the mixed reality headset, Vision Pro, in June of the previous year at the WWDC event. It opened for pre-order in America on January 19, and sales started on February 2. Despite the presence of many mixed reality headsets on the market, Vision Pro has garnered significant attention since its announcement, making users curious about how Apple would carve out its niche in this relatively new product category. With the start of its sales, Vision Pro quickly topped the list of most talked-about products in the technology world, especially after Apple announced that more than 1 million applications would be available on the specially designed App Store for Vision Pro from the first day of sales, making it one of the most notable mixed reality headsets. As cited by experts as its biggest disadvantage due to its price, Vision Pro is currently sold only in America. Entering at the top of the list of the most expensive products introduced by Apple recently, Vision Pro meets American users with starting prices of $3499.
