The incident took place in Sultanbeyli district of Istanbul, in October 2010, in A.A. It happened when the girl named was only 13 years old. Hasret Vural, her friend from school, invited A.A. to her home. Even though he initially said no, he said, “We watch movies, we have fun.” Vural, who convinced A.A. with his insistence, took his friend Tunahan Keskin with him and tried to rape A.A. after going home. Keskin recorded these moments moment by moment. AA. He shouted, “That’s enough, leave it alone,” and ran to his own house. Another day A.A. While leaving school, he encountered a person named Oğuzhan Koç, whom he knew before, and asked: “What did you do with Hasret?” I have your video. Hasret was going to tell everyone. He will tell your family too. Your family will kill you. I’m the only one who can stop this. But I have one condition. If you do this, I will prevent what will happen.” He was threatened and taken to a forested area in Sultanbeyli by Koç. Later, A.A. and Recep Özgül came to them and were raped. A week later, a person named Mücahit Ertürk came to A.A. and said, “I watched your videos. You were also with Oğuz. You need to be with me too. Otherwise, I will put that video in front of the family’s door.” said. Ertürk took two of his friends with him, one of whom was Yusuf Çetin, the son of the neighborhood headman, and these three people raped A.A. for two days.Another day, Burak Bayar, his classmate’s brother, came after school and raped A.A., making the same threats. A.A., who was raped by different people at different times. One day, while walking on the road, he was blocked by a car. A person named Fatih Akman got out of the vehicle, forced A.A. into the car, took her to an industry in Sultanbeyli and raped her with his friends. All these events A.A. It happened in exactly one year, when I was in the 8th grade. A.A., who started attending Sultanbeyli Girls’ Technical and Vocational High School and thought the nightmare was over, was being subjected to video-related threats by people she did not know. A.A., who once again succumbed to threats so that her family would not find out, was raped by 5 different people in a classroom. While I was crying loudly in the classroom, a young man named Hasan entered the classroom and said, “Don’t cry, I won’t do anything.” He took A.A. to the sink, washed his hands and face, and then went out to the school garden. A.A., who is afraid because her brother is in prison for murder, is afraid of her family and cannot tell anyone about the horror she has experienced. He couldn’t stand it anymore and went to Sultanbeyli Police Department and told about the horrific events he experienced. He concluded his statement by saying, “I cried a lot. I said my stomach hurt. They didn’t listen to me. They stated that they would tell my brother in prison about the video incident. They said, “Your brother will escape from prison and kill you too.” They said, ‘Your family will kill you.’ I begged a lot. “No one listened.” He gave it as follows. A lawsuit was filed against 15 people by the Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office for the crimes of “deprivation of liberty” and “qualified sexual abuse of a child”.The case, which lasted 10 years, was decided in 2023. In the case heard at the Istanbul Anatolian 9th High Criminal Court, two of the defendants were acquitted, while the others were given prison sentences ranging from 6 years to 23 years and 5 months. The Court of Appeal overruled the file on its merits and a retrial was initiated. Gülsün Doygun, the lawyer of the defendants Ali Kılıççı and Fatih Akman, asked at the hearing whether A.A. was warned by her teachers at school not to shorten her skirt length and to behave more politely. The President of the Court found it inappropriate and did not ask the question. During the hearing, the defendant’s lawyer Gülsün Doygun and A.A.’s mother argued. Lawyer Gülsüm Doygun shouted, “If you had been a woman and taken care of your children, these children would not have suffered.” These words attracted great reaction in the court and in the public.
